Resistance and the “Legitimate Political Settlement”

The PSRP is convening a panel on Political Settlements at the 9th Pan–European Conference on International Relations in Giardini Naxos, Sicily, Italy.
The panelists are Barbara Gruber (University of Vienna), Jörn Grävingholt and Nicolai Schulz (German Development Institute), Jan Pospisil (University of Edinburgh). They will discuss, on a theoretical as well as on an empirical level, the interrelations of resistance, legitimacy and the political settlement, how transformations of such settlements take place and how this interrelates with issues of statebuilding.
Alina Rocha Menocal (DLP, University of Birmingham) will be the chair and the discussant.
