DESCRIPTION:Professor Monica McWilliams presents this year’s Flatley Family Lecture at the Center for Irish Studies\, Boston College\n \nMonica McWilliams is Professor of Women’s Studies and Research Fellow in the Transitional Justice Institute at Ulster University\, and is a researcher on the Political Settlements Research Programme. She co-founded the Northern Ireland Women’s Coalition political party in 1996 and was elected to the multi-party peace talks leading to the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement. \nProfessor McWilliams is the author of a range of publications on domestic violence and women’s role in conflict resolution. For her work on the peace process\, she was a joint recipient of the John F.
