DESCRIPTION:The Global Justice Academy is pleased to invite you to: \nThe Inclusion Project: Human Rights Dilemmas in the Negotiation of Peace Agreements and Human Rights \nThis is an event to celebrate the launch of the PA-X Peace Agreement Database on the occasion of the Association of Human Rights Conference hosted by the Global Justice Academy with Edinburgh Law School. The conference runs from 6-8 September 2018. \nThe Launch and Reception are free to attend and open to all\, but spaces are limited so registration via Eventbrite is essential. Click here to register via Eventbrite. \nLaunch Event Programme: \nThe Inclusion Project: Peace Agreements\, Inclusion and Human Rights\, Professor Christine Bell\, Programme Director\, Political Settlement Research Programme (www.politicalsettlements.org; www.peaceagreements.org) \nResponse from Ian Martin\, former Director-General Amnesty International\, UN Secretary General’s Representative for East Timor\, and Libya\, and expert on negotiations\, human rights and peace agreements. \nChaired by Professor Charlie Jeffrey\, Senior Vice-Principal\, University of Edinburgh. \nThe event will be followed by a reception to which all participants are welcome\, which will also open the AHRI Conference. \nAbout PA-X: \nThe PA-X Peace Agreement Database contains all the world’s peace agreements from 1990 to date\, with detailed information on their human rights and inclusion approaches. Its purpose is to support peace processes and negotiated ends to end of violent conflict. It is intended for use by academics\, negotiators in peace processes\, civil society groups\, and journalists. \n
