DESCRIPTION:PSRP Consortium Member ISS Africa is holding its annual international conference in Johannesburg\, South Africa. The themes of the conference are organised under the title ‘National and international perspectives on crime\, violence reduction and criminal justice’\, and focus on the following areas: \n\nTheme 1: Understanding crime and its causes \nPapers that analyse current research results on crime trends\, types or crime\, or offenders.\nTheme 2: Tackling corruption and promoting the rule of law\nPapers that reflect on current theories\, debates and challenges that countries or regions are grappling with in protecting adherence to the rule of law.\nTheme 3: Supporting victims and perpetrators \nPapers analysing new theory\, research findings\, or promising initiatives about how to support victims or perpetrators.\nTheme 4: Assessing criminal justice policy and practice\nPapers that reflect theory and research results on issues like police oversight\, corruption in the criminal justice sector\, innovative policy and practice\, criminal justice approaches to crimes like sexual offences\, robbery\, fraud\, corruption and commercial crime.\nTheme 5: Crime and violence prevention\nPapers analysing promising crime prevention practice and innovation within the broad ambit of situational and social crime prevention\, and discuss new theories of crime prevention.\n\nThere is no registration fee to attend\, but space is limited\, so early registration is highly recommended. \nFor more information about the event\, on how to register\, please click here. \nSource: ISS Africa \n
