Peace Agreements and Women, Peace and Security

This seminar will provide a critical overview of the impact of the WPS resolutions on the substance of peace agreements, based on the findings of the unique PA-X Peace Agreement Database of 1800 peace agreements signed globally since 1990.

Professor Christine Bell is Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Edinburgh and Programme Director of the Political Settlements Research Programme which has developed the PA-X Peace Agreement Database.

This event is part of the WPS@20 seminar series hosted by the Ulster University Transitional Justice Institute to mark the upcoming 20th anniversary of the adoption of Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security by the United Nations Security Council.
